A strip club has been given approval to open in the Old Strathcona area.
On Aug. 2, the city of Edmonton granted a business license allowing the owners of X Bar to open in the former Rehab Nightclub, east of Calgary Trail and 81st Avenue.

Police and city officials say they have had no problems with the club's current location on Yellowhead Trail.
CBC News made repeated unsuccessful attempts to contact the owners about when X Bar may open.
The owners decided to scrap the strip club because of delays for additional development permits upstairs, even though those permits would probably be approved.
That sounds like an opportunity for somebody else.
p.s. The opposite corner of that block was the location of Tracy Starr's, one of Edmonton's original strip clubs.
Wow ... I remember Tracy Starrs ... definitely dating myself by rembering that ... too bad the owners decided not to follow through, the club would have been close to home ...
