  I appologize if this makes me seem a bit naive, but I had a question about massge parlors. Just curious if it's exceptable to go and only get a massage, or is it generally expected that you're there for the extras

  My friend and her husband went to one, he got the " extra" she just got a normal massage. They are there to service everyone, and im sure that if you don't want "extra's" then they wont look at you funny.

  it is generally excepted that you are there for the extras. a sexual release is generally included in the fee. it may be just a hand job and full service/sex may be extra or require a "tip".
  
  i would suggest if you only want a massage, you should try one of the many day spas in vancouver. completely nonsexual but often still a beautiful young lady providing the service. i go for massages as often as possible, so good for you!!
  
  if you are confused by terms like, health enhancement center and are really just looking for a back rub, that is my suggestion. visit a day spa. but as pointed out, i am sure the worker wouldn't mind just giving you a rub down.....

  A guy friend of mine went to a massage parlour, just for a massage. (Or at least this is his side of the story....)
  This cute little Asian lady massaged his back and legs and arms, and then asked him to flip over. He apparently, was surprised when she massaged his whole front...and went down to his groin area and started giving him a hand job. He said he just let her go for it.
  So if this story is true, some people go in for just a massage, but the workers expect to throw in a hand job. And, honestly, after a great massage...who would refuse??LOL!

  While I have been a patron of Strip Clubs and Strippers who do Escort work, I have never been to a Massage Parlor. It seems like such a jump into the unknown. I see them advertised all the time. From some of your posts above my curiosity is aroused and I may indeed seek out one soon for some stress relief and release. Afterall, with the Holidays coming on it could be a real treat.

  A good massage is the best deal going.
  
  If you want erotic service you get to lay back and enjoy at half the cost of full service. It is an outrageous deal considering a good massage may be more work for the provider than full service. I know Lucy and Carly are great in Victoria and I expect (don't know unfortunately) that Harmony would be great in Vancouver. Harmony also offers full service. Do your research and check their web sites. Lucy and Carly do not offer full service.
  
  If you are happy without the erotic part (R&T) then first check your extended health care plan if you have one. An hour with a registered massage therapist (RMT) will cost $80 to $120 and much of the cost may be covered.
  
  For half the cost of an RMT you can get a massage from someone who is not licensed and has no intention of providing extras.

  In the USA massage parlours are varied on the services offered.
  
  It depends on their location and the status of the worker.
  
  Almost all offer hand release, perhaps 1/4 offer full service.
  
  
  I have been retired from the scene for some time now, but I will admit that as far as erotic services are concerned these institutions are highly addictive. In my area 170-200 USD is the normal price.
  
  For some reason these institutions are mostly staffed by foreign women. I wish more North American women would enter the trade.

  I think it would be pretty hard (no pun intended) to turn down a hand job after a nice sensual massage by a beautiful woman ...... and by Bill Clintons standards it would never be a bad thing ;)

  I go for massages at spas, but the girls are so worried about offending someone that they only go about halfway up your thigh. I have a lot of muscle pain all over, and they don't end up being very therapuetic. RMTs are expensive, and can sometimes be too harsh - sometimes I just want something to help me relax. I got the name of a masseuse from my MIL, but she massaged way to hard even when told that my muscles get inflamed if they were worked to hard.
  Why is it so hard so find someone that will give a massage that is a realxing experience?

  I just posted about this in another section recently....
  My friend works in a massage parlour. The patron pays the front desk for a massage, but she does not get paid anything from this.
  Once the client comes in she has to convince the patron to tip her for extra sexual services, and gets to keep that money for herself.
  Otherwise she is providing the client a massage for free.
  Keep this in mind depending where you go.

  This is highly dependent on the MP in question. In some cases, the massage is "all inclusive" meaning there is nothing extra charged. Others are like described by Scream above, where the lady can and will charge whatever she can get extra for a menu of services, either a la carte or not.
