*nod* it's a short-sighted financial decision... there's a LOT of those out there... like at my present job, they're cutting hours to save money, but it means that there are times when there's only two cashiers open, which has led to a LOT of customers getting very frustrated, some even leaving the merchandise and walking out. it costs them mroe money in the end, by way of losing customers, than it would cost to NOT cut the hours.
people wonder why the Lion is doing well... they have never EVER cut a show, as long as i worked there. no matter how many people were there. because that way, if people walked in, there'd be a dancer on stage, they'd sit, they'd stay longer and drink more beer. ....uh... DUH. we put the asses in the seats, and most importantly, we KEEP the asses in the seats.
