Stella, Montreal Stella is a strong, loud and proud sex worker organization that has been established and accessed for many years. The people involved are lifers - the same names to greet your emails and calls - so it must be a positive work atmosphere. But what is most incredible about Stella are the numerous publications they've created to support sex workers in so many ways, from info booklets for social workers, to a comprehensive "Dope Guide," and the most recent "Constellations Special Working Conditions Issue," Stella's contributions to the movement and improving the quality of life for sex workers is without compare. ______________________ Check out my blog! www.yonilicious.blogspot.com |

BC Coalition of Experiential Communities In the short time that they have been together, this group has accomplished so much! Each project has benefited sex workers and provided income to sex workers who've participated. Some of the highlights: From the Curb - Voices of Street-based Sex Workers in BC; Trade Secrets www.tradesecretsguide.blogspot.com (not totally completed yet); Hustle - Men on the Move; The 411 - Victim's Assistance Info; West Coast Cooperative of Sex Industry Professionals; basis for the creation of a national industry association; PTSD training and further projects planned around PTSD and sex work; tons of media relations; the December 17th Day to End Violence Against Sex Workers events every year in Vancouver, and... The bringing together of so many different sex industry workers from diverse parts of the industry and inclusive of males, trans, and women with experience working in the sex industry. A pioneering group with so much potential. ______________________ Check out my blog! www.yonilicious.blogspot.com |
