Susan Davis. 

She takes a lot of flack from mainstream people and industry people alike, but she does it for a purpose – to improve health and safety in the sex industry.  She believes that if we just educate people and invite them into our discussions, we can help them see the truth.  She is a compassionate, driven, authentic member of the sex industry and a strong voice for our movement.

For her unwaivering dedication to standing up for sex worker rights in the media at any/all costs and for using her voice and experience to speak her truth for a purpose – to improve health and safety in the sex industry.

Terri-Jean Bedford

Her dungeon was busted as a bawdy house, and she went to court to fight for the safety and dignity of sex workers and safe indoor workspaces.

Her case went to the Supreme Court and frequently was in the news as she advocated for those within the BDSM industry.

She worked in the sex trade in the late 70's and the 80's and since 1993 worked as a dominatrix. In her former work in the sex trade, she was subjected to serious acts of
violence when she was working on the streets. She never experienced
this violence while working at indoor locations. She appealed against the laws under s.210 (bawdy house) of the Criminal Code.
