By, With & For Sex Workers Since 1994"
If you work in or with people in the Sex Industry, new federal legislation is coming into effect on Dec 6th that might impact you. The Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act (Bill C-36) makes it a crime to purchase sex and to communicate for the purpose of providing sexual services for consideration in some contexts. We are deeply concerned about the impacts that Bill C-36 will have on people in our community.
PACE Society will be hosting a free Q & A session to answer your questions about the new legislation and how it might affect you or the people you work with. Sarah Leamon, PACE Society’s Board Chair and a criminal lawyer with Acumen Law, will be available to answer your questions.
When: Tuesday December 2nd, 2014
Where: PACE Society - 49 W Cordova St. Vancouver,BC V6B 1C8
Time: Doors open @ 6pm ~ Q & A starts 6:30pm – 8:00pm
We encourage you to email us your questions in advance, so that we can make sure that we can address them. Space is limited so please RSVP. We look forward to you joining us. pace-admin@telus.net
